1. What financial cyclometry is
An experimental visualization that turns a financial ranking into points on a circle. It does not forecast the future.
2. N and K
N is the circle size; K is the number of sectors, each N/K wide.
3. Ranking
Position is round((rank / total instruments) × N), constrained to 1…N.
4. Distance
The cyclic distance is min(abs(a-b), N-abs(a-b)).
5. Geometry and score
Shapes and scores describe geometric regularity, not future returns.
6. Backtests
Results are descriptive and may omit costs, liquidity, slippage, taxes and biases.
7. Real data and traceability
Only observations linked to a source, market date, fetch time and valid quality status are used. Missing data produces an empty state, never replacement values.
